ATs across the country celebrated National Athletic
Training Month in March with posters, social media
campaigns and even a national television appearance.
The many activities helped raise awareness of the athletic
training profession, while highlighting the month’s theme:
“We’ve got your back.”
Students and faculty from East Stroudsburg University
(ESU) in Pennsylvania traveled to New York City and
gathered at the Today Show Plaza on February 28th.
There, on live TV, they waved signs about athletic training
and cheered – even getting a mention from Al Roker. You

In Omaha, the BOC was pleased that Mayor Jean
Stothert officially proclaimed March as National Athletic
Training Month in our city. Her proclamation described
the many roles ATs have as healthcare providers in a
variety of settings, as well as recognized the month’s
