BOC Receives 5-Year Reaccreditation
The Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) recently received notice
that the renewal application for reaccreditation has been approved
by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
for another 5-year period.
The BOC has the only accredited certification program for Athletic
Trainers (ATs) in the US. Since 1982, the BOC has been
continuously accredited by the NCCA. The BOC must undergo a
review and reaccreditation every 5 years through the NCCA. With
current accreditation set to expire in October, the BOC was
required to submit a renewal application.
The NCCA is the accreditation body of Institute
for Credentialing Excellence (ICE). The NCCA
sets the standards that must be met by
organizations offering certification programs.
